Netcomms is delighted to announce our support for Scarlett Weiland in her quest for ice skating stardom. Scarlett is the daughter of Lauren Watts, our fantastic Project Manager here at Netcomms, and has been skating for 3 years.
Initially starting her ice skating journey with a lesson every fortnight, this casual interest has turned into a passion. Scarlett has a strict regimen, training on the rink 4 times a week, supported by 2 extra weekly sessions in the gym. Even in her spare time, Scarlett has video call sessions with a flexibility coach based in Sheffield!
Scarlett recently took part in her first national test on a completely new rink, and scored very well! Scarlett will be performing with multiple parts in the prestigious Alexandra Palace Christmas Ice Show, The Nutcracker on Ice! Although she took part in last year’s show, this year Scarlett has moved up a group and will be tackling a challenging new routine.
The rehearsals are due to start on Monday 6th September from 4pm till 8pm. Rehearsals will then run every Monday afternoon and Sunday evenings.
This is in addition to her normal skating schedule of Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and some Tuesdays. It’s a packed schedule!
Scarlett’s dream is to join the cast of the Disney on Ice Production and is moving one step closer to this goal as she will soon be training in Ice Dance alongside a member of the production!
We’re massively proud of our own sporting prodigy here at Netcomms. We’ve decided to sponsor Scarlett’s skating career by helping to provide equipment, clothing and to help fund her lessons.
We’re very proud of Scarlett and wish her all the success in her skating career! If you’d like to find out more about Scarlett’s skating journey you can follow her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/scarlett_skates1/
